The short version. You book, we come to you, and you pay when the work is done. Moving a booking always beats cancelling it: the amount at stake is the same, but a reschedule puts every cent of it onto your new date. More than 72 hours notice and there is nothing to pay either way. We waive all of it for emergencies. If your vehicle turns out to need more than the package covers, we do the best we can in the time you booked, at the price you booked. We only ever talk about a different number if you would rather we went further, and then only before we do. We are insured. If something is not right, tell us and we will come back.
513 Auto Clean is a mobile detailing business based in Cincinnati, Ohio, serving Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana. Throughout this page, "we" and "us" mean 513 Auto Clean, and "you" means the person booking the detail.
By booking, you confirm that you are at least 18, and that you are the owner of the vehicle or have the owner's permission to have it detailed.
When you book online you pick the time that suits you and an email confirming it arrives straight away. Once in a while a time needs shifting and we will get in touch and sort out another one with you. Nothing is charged before that.
Sometimes we cannot offer a specific time and you tell us instead which days and times of day suit you. That is a request, not a confirmed booking. No time is held and nothing is charged until we come back to you with a time and you accept it.
Nothing is charged when you book. You pay in full once the detail is finished. See cancellation for what happens if you cancel late.
The price you see when you book covers the package and add-ons you picked, for the size of vehicle you told us, plus travel and Ohio sales tax. That is the price. It is what we charge.
The first 10 minutes of drive time are free. After that we charge for the real drive out to you, measured at the time you picked with the traffic of that hour, rather than a flat call-out fee. You see the figure before you confirm and it is locked in there. If the traffic is worse on the day, that is our problem, not yours.
Every package buys a set amount of time and a set list of work. Now and then a vehicle turns up needing a lot more than that: heavy pet hair, mold, biological mess, staining right through the interior, or damage nobody mentioned.
That does not change your price. We work to the package you booked, for the time it buys, and we get it as far as we can. A Basic Interior at $125 is a Basic Interior at $125 whatever we find when we open the door. What changes is how much of the problem we can reach in that time, and we will tell you honestly where we expect to get to before we start.
If you would rather we went further than the booked time allows, that is the one conversation where a different number comes up:
We will never start work and then hand you a bigger bill. No price moves without you agreeing to it first, in words, before the work it pays for.
A few add-ons carry an asterisk on the booking page. Those are quoted from a starting figure because the work genuinely scales with how much there is of it, and the same rule applies: you hear the number and agree to it before we start.
Normally you pay when the work is done. On the day you can pay by cash, check, card, tap to pay, Venmo, Apple Pay, Cash App or Zelle. Nothing is charged when you book. Ask us for anything not on that list and we will almost certainly be able to take it.
There is no way to pay up front at the moment, for a confirmed booking or a request. Whatever you book, the money changes hands once the work is done.
We do not take card details when you book, and nothing is charged before the work is done. We record the version of these terms you agreed to alongside your booking.
If a payment fails we will tell you and try again, or take one of the other methods above. If a balance is still unpaid 14 days after the detail we may add a late payment charge of $25 and, after 30 days, pass it to a collection agency. We would much rather sort it out with you directly, so tell us if something has gone wrong.
Prices are in US dollars and include sales tax at the rate for the state and county where the work is performed. Vehicle washing, waxing and detailing are taxable services in Ohio, and we collect the applicable rate in Kentucky and Indiana when we work there.
Moving a booking always beats cancelling it. The amount at stake is the same either way, but if you reschedule, every cent of it goes onto your new date instead of being kept. With more than 72 hours notice there is nothing to pay at all.
| Notice given | If you cancel | If you reschedule |
|---|---|---|
| 72 hours or more before | No charge | Free, nothing to pay |
| 24 to 72 hours before | 50% of the booking, kept | 50% taken now, all of it credited to the new date |
| Less than 24 hours before | The full booking, kept | Paid in full now, credited for 30 days, plus a flat 10% late move fee |
A booked slot is a slot we turned other people away for. Inside 72 hours the day is half committed and hard to refill; inside 24 hours it is gone entirely, because everyone who wanted that time has booked with someone else.
So the charge is the same whether you cancel or move, and the only difference is where the money ends up. Cancel and we keep it. Reschedule and it sits against your new date, and you have lost nothing. We would far rather detail your car next week than keep your money this week.
Nothing is taken up front. We just need a late change to cost the person making it something, rather than costing everyone else the slot.
Just tell us what you want changed. Adding or dropping services is free any time up to 72 hours before your slot. Inside 72 hours it depends on whether the change needs time that was not already yours.
The short version: keep every minute you already have and you only ever pay the rate on what you add. Ask us and we will work out the number for you before you agree to anything.
Credit from a reschedule is good for 30 days from the appointment you moved, and comes straight off the price of the new booking. If the new detail costs more, you pay the difference. If it costs less, we hold the rest for you for the remainder of the 30 days.
You can still do it, and your money still follows you. There is one extra charge: a flat 10% late move fee, charged each time you move a booking at that notice. It stays 10% every time. Moving twice means two separate 10% charges, not 10% and then 20%.
We are a small operation and a day only holds so many jobs. One booking bouncing around on the morning can knock out two or three other people, and if moving it costs nothing there is no reason not to keep doing it. Ten percent is small enough to shrug at once and big enough to make you check your calendar before the third time.
We do not have to enforce any of the above, and often we do not. We are not going to charge you because someone in your family ended up in hospital, or your car got hit, or you came down with something. Tell us what happened and we will work it out.
We would rather keep a customer than win an argument over one booking. The point of all this is to keep the schedule steady, not to catch anyone out or make money off a bad week.
Call or text (513) 279-2915, or reply to the confirmation we sent you. A text is fine and you do not need a reason.
If you want to move it rather than cancel, say so, because moving is nearly always cheaper for you. Tell us roughly when suits and we will find you something.
We will tell you the moment we know and offer you the next time we have. If we cancel, there is no charge and you get back anything you paid, however short the notice. Weather is the usual reason: rain, freezing temperatures and high wind all wreck an exterior result. Illness and van trouble happen too.
If we turn up at the agreed time and cannot reach you or get to the vehicle, we will call, text and wait a while. If we still cannot start, it counts as a cancellation inside 24 hours. Catch us before we set off and we will treat it as a reschedule instead, so your money stays with you.
There is nothing to refund, because nothing is taken before the work is done. If you have paid us and something needs putting right, we sort it out the same day by whichever method you paid.
If you think a charge is wrong, tell us first. We answer the same day and we fix mistakes without an argument. A dispute raised with your bank before you have given us the chance to put it right costs us a fee and weeks of paperwork, and we will treat it as a cancellation without notice for the purposes of any future booking.
We work at your place, so we need a few things from you:
Every package on the booking page says what it does and what it does not. Broadly:
If we can see you are not going to get the result you are hoping for, we will tell you before we take the booking or before we start.
We carry general liability insurance and we look after every car like it is ours. If we damage something, tell us before we leave or as soon as you spot it, and we will put it right or claim on our insurance.
What we cannot cover:
Beyond what our insurance pays out, our liability to you for anything arising from a detail is limited to the price you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost time, lost income or the cost of a hire car. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
If something about the finished detail is not right, tell us within 30 days and we will come back and sort it out for free. That covers work we did, or should have done, as part of the package you booked. It does not stretch the package into work you did not book, and it does not cover dirt from driving the car since.
We ask separately, at the time of booking, whether we may photograph and film the detail, and we honor the answer. The question is not pre-ticked and answering no does not affect your price or your booking in any way.
If you say yes, we may record the work, edit it into clips, and publish them on our own social media and website to show the standard of our work. We always blur children, license plates, house numbers and any other private information before anything is published. If you change your mind afterwards, tell us and we will take it down.
We ask when you book whether we can text you about your detail. If you say yes, those texts are sent by hand: to confirm, to check anything we need to know, and with an ETA before we set off. There is no automated messaging behind it yet, so you are texting a person. Say no and we will email or call instead. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any point to stop them. Marketing texts are a separate question and a separate yes.
We never share your mobile number or your SMS consent with anyone for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for the detail.
We may turn down or stop a job for biohazardous material, unsafe working conditions, abusive behavior, or a vehicle or location that turns out to be nothing like what we were told. Turn it down before starting and you pay nothing. Stop partway and we charge only for what we actually finished, and we will walk you through exactly what that is.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Hamilton County, Ohio. Nothing here limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your booking is the version published when you booked, and the effective date is at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted here.
